Olivia-Grace Earl

These photos were taken by artist Andy Ellis as a part of his 'Remembering Obachaan' project. These are photos taken of an elderly woman who lives on her own and shows her everyday activities. These photo's show the isolation of a person from the rest of the world. Most of theses photographs are darl and dusky to create an atmosphere of lonliness and isolation to play on the viewers emotions. The top photo incorporates bright colour which contrasts the sad lady sat in the chair creating a contrast to the other photos but still having the same atmosphere and theme throughout. This relates to my photoshoot because I am choosing to photograph isolated objects from their surroundings and in these images the woman is isolated from her surroundings and is left alone. There are several element of these photos that I would like to incorparate into my own work. I would like to focus on creating contrast through colours and theme just like Andy Ellis has done in his photoshoot. I would like to take photographs of bright places yet make the atmosphere sad to contrast the bright colours just like Andy has.
