For this photoshoot of the word desolate, I decided to experiment with long exposure for the first time with and wanted to create images that included people moving around whilst taking the photo at a long shutter speed in order to capture them blurred out so that it looked like the people were ghosts in empty and desolate surroundings. This worked well because although it was my first time experimenting with long exposure, I managed to get the results of images that I wanted and could see in my mind. I also wanted to use some double exposure to make the subjects of the photographs look faded away into their surroundings. This worked well because I was familiar with double exposure so I knew what I was doing, however, I didn’t have a tripod whilst taking the photos so I had to try and re-align photographs whilst editing that weren’t perfectly lined up because of human error.
