Horacio Guzman takes photographs of people’s hands next to old photographs of themselves as children or younger people. This represents the way people age and shows the difference between photographs now and how they used to look. He uses a black and white effect to flow through all of this photographs to keep a running theme throughout and to keep the photos simple and self-expressive. His work has inspired me to take similar photos of hands that have changed and grew over time next to photographs of the models as children. I want to show a contrast between the quality of the images that where taken of them as children and the quality of the final photographs I have taken. I also want to show a contrast between their hands now and how small they used to be so I will try and acquire photographs of them as children that there is a clear difference over time from both elements. I will keep my photos all black and white the same as Horacio as to create a running theme and to relate my images to his further.
