Textured | cacti

For this photoshoot, I wanted to create images inspired by the word Textured. I chose this word because I was inspired by the outside surface of cacti being spiky yet smooth underneath and the contrast between the two. I wanted to take close up photos of contrasting textures of different objects and edit them to make the features stand out. I will do this by experimenting on photoshop with shadows/highlights, vibrance and contrast to make features stand out on the surfaces of lots of different objects. I have choesn to make these photos quite abstract to mirror Nic Millers work so that the viewer doesnt instantly see what the surface is of and makes them think. I'm going to experiemnt with changing the brightness and vibrance on the photos to contrast Nic's work as her photos are mostly brighter images.
